You can test it right now by scanning the screen.
Verified to decode at every size from a full page render down to a thumbnail.
Use the vector files wherever possible. They stay sharp at any size, which matters more for a QR code than for most artwork.
The working rule is that the code should be about one tenth as wide as the distance someone scans it from.
| Where it goes | Scanned from | Code width |
|---|---|---|
| Business card or sticker | Arm's length | 1 in |
| Flyer or table tent | About 3 ft | 3 in |
| Window or wall sign | About 6 ft | 7 in |
| Poster or banner | About 10 ft | 12 in |
Do not recolor the code green
It was tested. Green on the dark brand background failed to decode at every size, and green on white measures only 2.3 to 1 contrast, far under what scanners need. The code stays near black on white, and the brand color goes around it. That is what the card does.
Keep the empty margin around it
The blank border built into these files is part of the code, not padding that can be cropped. Trimming it or letting text crowd in stops scanners from finding the code at all.
Do not put anything on top of it
No logo in the middle, no text across it, no gradient behind it. There is error correction in this code, but it is a margin for smudges and scuffs on a printed card, not room for artwork.
